is located in the Eastern North of Benin, Borgou / Alibori departments are limited in North by Niger Republic, South by Collines department, east by Federal Republic of Nigeria, Western North by Burkina Faso Republic and West by Atacora/Donga departments.

Borgou / Alibori is the less populated department in Benin. The most important population is Bariba they are concentrated in Banikoara 20%, Kandi 11%, Bembèrèrkè 9%, Nikki, they are also in Gogounou and Sinendé; The Fulbé (Peulhs) they are also from this department like Bariba, this people are disperse in Kalalé 20 %, Kandi 12 %; Bembèrèkè 10 %; the Dendi people for them, are more important in Malanville 39%; Karimama 22 %; Parakou 17 % and Pèrèrè. The Yoruba people are in Parakou 42 % and Tchaourou 33 %; you can see also other people like Fon, Adja, Otamaris and other community from Africa, Europe and Asia.
The population of Borgou / Alibori is essentially farmer. The most important activity is agriculture but 61% of the population is breeding. The Borgou / Alibori department is a very nice place but good water is missing in some villages.
